Strategies - Wind Driven Ventilation

Naturalvent offers offers a number of Natural ventilation strategies depending on your aesthetic and ventilation requirements.

Single sided ventilation
It is predominantly wind driven ventilation turbulence and can adequately
ventilate smaller rooms with average occupancies.

Uses 2 wall units
Achieves penetration depths of up to 2.5 times the room height.
Cross ventilation
It combines the Wind Effect and Stack Effect. Also offers night
time cooling.

Uses 2 wall units
Achieves penetration depths of up to 5 times the room height.
Passive Stack ventilation
It is driven by the Wind Effect and can be aided by the Stack
Effect if there is a sufficient difference in heights between the
two vents.

Uses Wall Unit + Stack Ventilator
Will achieve up to double the penetration of cross ventilation
Displacement ventilation
It uses a single roof stack which lets in high density cool air on
the Windward side and expels warmer, more buoyant exhaust air
on the leeward side.

Uses a single stack unit
Useful for exhausting stale air from multiple class rooms or
night-time cooling
